Use it or Lose it: Year End Health Care Flexible Spending for 2013!

As 2013 draws to a close, remember to use your flexible spending account dollars before they expire! Flexible spending account dollars may be used on a variety of medical related expenses, including copays, examinations, prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, contact lenses, and Dry Eye Treatment!

Many people do not realize they have extra flex dollars until it’s too late! These flexible dollars are often times deposited into an account before taxes and can even be used tax-free which gives an even greater incentive to use those dollars!

Flexible spending account dollars can even be used on prescription sports sunglasses, for runners, bikers, fishermen, and any outdoor sports enthusiast! Prescription Sports Sunglasses are important for both safety and performance, and also make a great Christmas gift. Our eyes are susceptible to the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, which can increase the chances of cataracts and macular degeneration, and can only truly be protected by a custom fitted pair of polarized sunglasses that inhibit all ranges of UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C. Many retail stores sell sunglasses that have UV protection on them but they are not all really protective and can do more damage than good!!!!

So before your flexible spending account dollars expire, Use it Before You Lose it by the end of 2013!
